The MoFi Gateway has a built-in signal status tool that displays the signal quality being detected by the LTE modem. Checking for the signal status can help determine the optimal placement for the Gateway. It can also help in determining the location and positioning for an outdoor antenna if one is being used.

To access the signal status for the Gateway, please follow the directions below:

  1. With a device connected to the Gateway (over WiFi or ethernet), launch a web browser (Internet explorer, Firefox, or Safari preferred) and go to 192.168.10.1.
  2. Login to the admin panel with your router password (maybe different than your WiFi password).
  3. Once logged in, click on ‘MoFi Internal Modem‘ on the left sidebar menu
  4. Click the button labeled ‘Open Signal Status‘ towards the top of the page, which will display the current signal status that the LTE modem is detecting.
